Fulton offers ex-stock steam boilers

To meet a growing demand from customers needing to replace steam boilers quickly, Fulton offers the ex-stock availability of gas-fired vertical steam boilers and electric steam boilers
To meet a growing demand from customers needing to replace steam boilers quickly, Fulton Boiler Works has used the closer ties between its manufacturing facilities in the UK, US and China, to provide ex-stock availability of gas-fired vertical steam boilers and electric steam boilers. The company is also offering reduced lead times on its larger horizontal range. At any one time, the company now holds stock of every Series J model and selected sizes in its electric range, including the smaller Dragon and Mini Compack boiler models.

Fulton is also offering reduced lead times on selected stock models from its RBC range of horizontal wet back fire tube boilers, which can now be shipped from its China facility in just six weeks.

Commenting for Fulton, sales and marketing director Gordon Bareham says: 'The policy was implemented to meet the requirements of customers urgently seeking a replacement boiler.

Variable speed mixer for ceramics industries

Users of the Eirich intensive counter-current mixer in the Ceramics industries have reported significant energy savings in comparison to other previously used systems
Users of the Eirich intensive counter-current mixer in the Ceramics industries have reported significant energy savings in comparison to other previously used systems, as well as achieving higher bulk densities which further adds to power and cost reductions. Available in the UK from Orthos, the mixers utilise a unique mixing principle, with a rotating mixing pan for material transport and a variable-speed mixing tool giving slow to fast operation for mixing, kneading, granulating and dispersing. Separation of the two elements allows mixing speed and thus energy input to be varied within wide limits and controlled to match specific process requirements.

High speed operation gives optimal disintegration of agglomerates or fibres and total coating of primary particles with an organic solvent film when dispersing, while medium speeds produce high-quality mixtures with effective kneading of extrusible mixes and enable green scrap and drying losses go be re-plasticised or dispersed.

Low speeds allow gentle mixing in of lightweight aggregates or synthetic foam.

The mixers also have the advantages of no areas with low flow, short processing time and small space requirement.

High performance agitators for FGD processes

Mixing Solutions details their class-leading Phoenix agitation systems for flue gas desulphurisation forced oxidation processes in new free literature, available on request
Mixing Solutions details their class-leading Phoenix agitation systems for flue gas desulphurisation forced oxidation processes in new free literature, available on request. The breakthrough design of the side-entry absorber agitators, features the unique AirWing sparge for unmatched forced oxidation with assured solid suspension. Also featured are the options available for top-entry agitators giving assured operating performance with minimum energy expenditure for associated slurry systems.

The full side-entry range features special single-acting balanced mechanical seals which do not require any buffer or flushing system for reliable operation.

These seals include a unique metal-to-metal shutoff device allowing in-place seal removal.

Phoenix units offer unlimited air handling capability for future process needs.

Top-entry agitator gear drives are designed to handle hydrodynamic loads generated in arduous mixing applications and have a minimum output shaft bearing life of 100,000 hours continuous operation at duty point conditions.

Over 35 years specialisation and a world-wide installed base exceeding 2000 units enable Mixing Solutions to design systems that offer users the lowest cost of ownership for all applications and specifications.

The Microgral - the new R and D granulator

The Microgral is a new, top-driven, lab-scale, high-shear, mixer-granulator from Collette NV, a member of Niro Pharma Systems
The Microgral is designed specifically for the development of formulations for granulating and pelletisation and is ideal for use in commercial laboratories and educational establishments wherever formulation assurance and process consistency are essential. The equipment is available in two bowl sizes (1,000ml and 4,000ml) to provide a batch capacity of 100g-700g. A double jacket and heating system option enables melt granulation and pelletisation if required.

To ensure excellent process control the Microgral is equipped with product temperature and torque measurement; data logging and batch reporting are also available within the system.
